Job Description

Responsible for supporting accurate and timely accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, with a focus on the month-end accounting cycle and operational reporting. 

  • Terminal Accounting & Revenue Support  

    • Support terminal revenue accounting and revenue accruals  

    • Reconcile general ledger activity to operational reporting systems  

    • Research billing discrepancies and accounting questions  

  • Operational Reporting  

    • Prepare tonnage, throughput, royalty, KPI, and operational reports  

    • Compile and distribute financial and operational reporting information  

  • Support terminal-related payment requests and AP coordination  

    • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audits  

    • Support process improvement initiatives 

    • Perform special projects as assigned 

    • Assist in budget preparation as needed 

    • Support ad hoc requests from operations and finance departments

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial records, and U.S. GAAP concepts  

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify questions, follow logic, and research discrepancies 

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial or operational data 

  • Organized and able to manage recurring deadlines and competing priorities 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills 

  • Dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn new systems, processes, and business operations 

  • Exercises good judgment and maintains confidentiality when working with financial information
