Learning and Development Specialist

Location: UK Wide (Regular Travel Required)
Contract: Full Time - 12 month FTC
Salary: £35,000

About the Role

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will design, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning solutions that support colleagues across a range of employability-focused roles.

Working closely with the Learning and Development Manager, you will contribute to the implementation of the Learning and Development strategy, ensuring learning interventions align with business priorities and operational needs.

You'll deliver training through a variety of methods including virtual classrooms, face-to-face workshops, digital learning and blended programmes. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to create innovative learning resources, toolkits and development programmes that make a real difference across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning and development programmes across the Employability Division.
  • Facilitate virtual, face-to-face and blended learning interventions to diverse audiences.
  • Develop role-specific training alongside core employability competencies
  • Create high-quality learning materials, digital content, facilitator guides, toolkits and resources.
  • Coordinate training events and ensure all materials and resources are prepared in advance.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams and stakeholders to identify development needs.
  • Support the delivery of the wider Learning and Development strategy and business objectives.
  • Adapt learning solutions to meet changing operational requirements and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes.
  • Strong facilitation skills across virtual and face-to-face environments.
  • Experience creating engaging learning materials, digital content and blended learning solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK.

Desirable

  • Experience within employability, welfare-to-work, skills, education, training or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience using digital learning platforms and authoring tools.
  • Relevant Learning and Development qualification (e.g. CIPD Learning & Development or equivalent).
