Infotrak Research and Consulting, a premier Pan-African research firm headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with a branch office in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking dynamic and well-organized individuals to join our team in the following position:

1. Position: Accountant
    

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team and oversee our financial operations, compliance, and reporting. The successful candidate will be based in our Nairobi office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;
2. Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings;
3. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax, audit, and regulatory filings;
4. Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
5. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes;
6. Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit queries;
7. Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements;
8. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making;
9. Mentor and support other staff in the department.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• CPA (Advanced Level) or ACCA qualification;
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience;
• Proficiency in accounting softwares (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and MS Excel;
• Membership with the relevant professional body;
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Kenyan tax laws;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
