Job Description
Infotrak Research and Consulting, a premier Pan-African research firm headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with a branch office in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking dynamic and well-organized individuals to join our team in the following position:
- Position: Accountant
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team and oversee our financial operations, compliance, and reporting. The successful candidate will be based in our Nairobi office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;
- Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings;
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax, audit, and regulatory filings;
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes;
- Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit queries;
- Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements;
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making;
- Mentor and support other staff in the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- CPA (Advanced Level) or ACCA qualification;
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience;
- Proficiency in accounting softwares (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and MS Excel;
- Membership with the relevant professional body;
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Kenyan tax laws;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
