AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration: 6-12 Months 

Client wants to implement this project with 2-2 months phases. Candidate can work remotely every other week and client can pay for the travel + hotel expenses.

Skills:

This role will teach and coach customer personnel performing application migration.
Customer personnel have little cloud experience, and need guidance.

Applications are being "replatformed" with following technology changes:
- From Oracle Database to PostgreSQL RDS
- From JBOSS to Tomcat
- Containerize and Deploy to ECS
- Integration with Amazon MQ
- CI/CD using CodeBuild, CodePipeline and CodeDeploy

We need someone with solid DevOps skills to assist Customers who are performing migrations - the customer needs help understanding DevOps and the AWS cloud technologies 


 

Key skills include:
- Coding (Python + Java desirable)
- PostgreSQL (Oracle/MySql is also ok)
- Tomcat (exposure to any Web App Server - JBOSS/WebSphere/Weblog etc. technology is ok)
- CI/CD
