Job Description

IIA is currently looking for an Application Programmer II to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL). This position will be in Albuquerque, NM.

Position Responsibilities:

· Developer will work as a .NET software developer with experience solving hard problems in building real-time, state of the art, web applications.

· Individual must be well rounded, having experience with real-time databases, distributed data protocols, and modern web development methods and tools.

· Assist with analysis of information requirements.

· Aid in the evaluation of problems with workflow, organization, and planning.

· and help in the development of appropriate corrective action.

· Design, develop, implement, and maintain existing and new technology for several corporate applications.

· Come up with solutions that may not always be obvious, while still delivering in short time frames.

· Manage software application code using version control and problem tracking software expediently and accurately.

· Generate software documentation and reports.

· Work effectively in an Agile software development (or adapted Agile) environment.

· Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.

· Assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code and integrate and test software components.

Required Qualifications for Position:

· Must be a U.S. Citizen.

· Active DOE Q clearance desired, but in all events must have ability to be cleared at the TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.

· Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or six (6) years of experience relative to the requirements.

· At least 2 year of strong hands-on technical experience with .NET Core development in a Windows environment.

· Experience developing in Angular framework, preferably version 8.

Desired Experience:

· Experience in industry or academia.

· Demonstrated proficiency with a combination of the following: MS .NET Core, C#, EntityFramework Core, MS TypeScript, Angular v.8, Angular Material, MongoDB, MS Visual Studio, JavaScript, HTML5, MS Team Services.

· Experience developing with Microsoft Azure.

· Familiarity with User Experience Design (UXD).

· Familiarity with GIT version control.

· A successful track-record investigating, specifying, designing, testing, documenting, and developing successful computer-based systems, including mobile.

· Familiarity with REST-ful microservice development.

· Familiarity with software container technology (Docker and Kubernetes).

· Familiar with modern development architectures to allow for microservice development.

· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

· Strong background in databases especially SQL, security, web app languages, or another relevant area.

· Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.

· Experience implementing DevOps methodologies (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, automated unit tests, automated integration tests, automated build and release).

· Sound business judgment, critical thinking, presentation, and excellent communications skills.

· Ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders and turn them into usable code.

Clearance Requirements:
