Job Description

IIA is currently looking to hire a MAC VOIP Technician.  The position will be required to maintain and support all technologies related to Cisco VOIP.  The candidate will provide support at the Tier II level including moves, adds and changes.  Candidate must have excellent client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communications and ability to work with all levels of management.  The USPTO UC Support team provides service from 6am – 6pm, and on-call hours at all other times.  As such the candidate must be able to work varied hours and weekends when necessary.

 

Required Skills:

 

•             Knowledge and experience with telecommunications and principles related to Cisco Unified Communications services

•             Knowledge and experience with Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, MeetingPlace and Cisco Meeting Server

•             Ability to configure UC services, applications, end point devices and other aspects of the UC system

•             Implement Cisco Unified Communications solutions on Cisco Unified Computing Services platforms.

•             Provide technical and end user training to other personnel as needed.

•             Provide C3 (NOC) Resources with Monitoring Guidance and Training

•             Monitor digital PBX/VoIP systems

  • Exposure to working with SLA’s, Change Control processes and a corporate ticketing system such as Service Now/Remedy/Heat.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Excel.
  •  Experience in network cabling, punch downs, demarks and extensions a plus.
