Job Description

Industry Dive is looking to further increase our content and strategic-selling expertise by adding to the Black Belt Strategy team, with an additional Sales Manager, studioID.

Through their content marketing experience and expertise, the Sales Manager, studioID will work with AEs to broaden the scope of opportunity, and further pull clients across Industry Dive’s full brand-to-demand solution suite. The role will mainly focus on partnering with  AEs and front-line Sales Managers on specific opportunities, increasing their size and scope through our studioID content solutions.

In particular, the key focuses and measures of success of the role will be:

  1. Drive overachievement of the sales team’s quarterly Industry Dive sales number.
  2. Drive overachievement of the sales team’s quarterly studioID number, maintaining a share of at least 40% of the overall ID sales number.
  3. Ensuring an optimal mix and volume of enterprise accounts, driving year over year increases in enterprise account volume and spend.

A typical “week in the life” will consist of the following:

  • 10-15 client-facing meetings with AEs and the required prep for these meetings
  • Weekly huddles with AE teams 
  • Weekly pipeline reviews with Sales Director and front-line Sales Managers.
  • Weekly huddle with rest of Black Belt Strategy team
  • Partnering across the organization to help drive further best practices around our marketing, product development, sales process, tools, etc.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a black belt at:

  • Applying their content marketing expertise to prescribe optimal content-based solutions for prospects
  • Advising clients on content marketing best practices and how to address audiences across the buyer journey with content
  • Leveraging their strong curiosity to enable deep account and opportunity discovery
  • Helping clients and prospects identify and communicate their biggest marketing pains
  • Commanding a room of marketers across all seniority levels
  • Understanding the optimal routes for opportunity and account growth. Adding content, distribution to new dives, international solutions, etc.
  • Strategic sales process. Understanding an account’s buying committee, their metrics and processes.
  • Learning how to situationally manage across a wide spectrum of sellers and managers - with different strengths and experiences.
  • Orchestrating and collaborating with internal SMEs to optimally bring our expert power to the forefront of all opportunities.
  • Bringing consistent value to the AEs - in order for this system to work, reps need to find value in your expertise, enjoy working with you, and constantly be asking for you to enhance the client relationship/experience
  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000, plus commission incentives.
