Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our Order to Cash Technology team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integrating Salesforce with external systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom Salesforce applications, ensuring the optimal performance and security of the platform. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Collaborate with a team of developers through the entire development lifecycle 

  • Become instrumental in improving and implementing processes and values that scale effectively 

  • Ability to estimate effort at project inception effectively. 

  • Working as part of an Agile team, assisting the Product Owner & Scrum Master with planning, change management, and product backlog maintenance. 

  • Contribute to and influence the architecture of applications for internal teams and customers 

  • Prepare Low Level Designs (LLD) from High Level Designs (HLD) provided by solution architects 

  • Build technology the right way: for us, this means simple, well-tested services that gradually grow over time, and that provides plenty of insight into production performance 

  • Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce tools. 

  • Develop & Maintain the Salesforce Automations like Salesforce Flows 

  • Design and implement asynchronous Apex solutions for processing large volumes of data. 

  • Create and customize reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. 

  • Customize Salesforce applications based on business requirements, creating and maintaining workflows, triggers, and validation rules. 

  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems, using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools. 

  • Provide support for Salesforce platform troubleshooting, debugging, and maintenance. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Project Managers, to ensure smooth project delivery and to integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications. 

  • Write efficient SOQL and SOSL queries to retrieve and manipulate data within the Salesforce platform. 

  • Perform Salesforce administrative tasks such as user management, security configuration, and data management. 

  • Perform data migrations and integrations using tools such as Data Loader, MuleSoft, and third-party integration platforms. 

  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, code quality, and security standards. 

  • Participate in regular code reviews and ensure the scalability and maintainability of solutions. 

  • Work with stakeholders to design solutions that improve business processes and optimize Salesforce functionality. 

  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry best practices. 

Qualifications

Must have Certifications 

  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 

  • Salesforce Certified Admin 

Good to have certifications 

  • Salesforce Java Script Developer 

  • Salesforce Platform Developer 2 

  

Technical Skills: 

  

  • At least 4 years of experience working with Salesforce, specifically in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Force.com

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model, including objects, fields, relationships, and schema design. 

  • Proficiency in Apex coding, including triggers, classes, and testing frameworks. 

  • Hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce pages. 

  • Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools (REST/SOAP APIs, Data Loader, Middleware). 

  • Experience working with Salesforce configuration tools (Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Workflow Rules). 

  • Knowledge of Salesforce security models, including profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules. 

  • Experience with version control systems like Git and code deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Salesforce DX). 

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits and how to work within them. 

  • Good experience in Problem solving & Debugging skills 

  • Strong Salesforce Integration Experience with External Application 

  • Experience with MuleSoft & AWS is a plus 

  Soft Skills:   

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented mindset. 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. 

Preferred: 

  • Salesforce Developer certifications (Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II) preferred. 

  • Experience with Salesforce Order Management System 

  • Experience with Salesforce Communities, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana). 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Location: The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our Bengaluru office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
