Job Description

The accountant will work together with the ASEAN Finance Team and Asia Shared Service Centre (SSC) to support the Philippines business by managing the day-to-day finance operations, delivering timely reports and analysis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with ASEAN Finance team and Asia Shared Service Centre (ASSC) closely to ensure the financial record is maintained correctly and timely included :
  • Ensure Revenue and Cost are recorded correctly, and intercompany billings are performed. Compliance in accordance with Group guidelines and timely release of accruals, if any.
  • Support Intercompany transactions for Philippines incl. agreements, invoicing, resolving mismatches and cash settlements.
  • Review Balance Sheet items and ensure reconciliation is performed timely.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and best practices and maintain a strong system of internal controls.
  • Handle local statutory compliance matters such as corporate secretarial, audit, and taxation.
  • Ad hoc queries / requests from various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A relevant accounting or finance degree is a prerequisite.
  • Well versed in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferably
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and can work independently.
  • Accountable and willing to accept responsibilities.
  • Well-organized and good prioritization
  • Growth mindset and ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and results oriented.
  • Challenges the current way of working and seeks opportunities to improve.
  • Fluent in written and conversational English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
