Job Description

Finance Data Analyst 

An innovative role combining deep finance expertise with advanced Power BI capabilities, Alteryx, SQL and AI knowledge to revolutionize financial reporting and analytics. Working alongside senior finance leadership, you will operate with high autonomy to deliver next-generation financial insights through Power BI solutions while maintaining strong financial planning and analysis capabilities.  

The position demands exceptional analytical skills and the ability to transform complex financial data into actionable business intelligence. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Power BI Development & AI Integration: Design and implement advanced Power BI dashboards incorporating AI capabilities and automated insights while optimizing performance through expert DAX programming 

•  Data Integration & Transformation: Design comprehensive financial data models, integrate multi-source data using SQL and leverage Alteryx for automated data preparation and transformation processes 

• Technical Excellence & Governance: Demonstrate expertise in Power Query editing, DAX measures, Power BI server administration including dataflows, semantic models while maintaining gold standard reporting through peer review processes 

• Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership: Present financial insights confidently to non-finance audiences, support the wider Finance team in aligning business problems with AI-driven solutions, and champion visualization best practices 

• Innovation & Process Improvement: Lead digital transformation initiatives in financial reporting, pioneer AI technology integration, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement through automation 

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate monthly management reporting dashboards with variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, while analysing financial and operational KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities 

Qualifications

Essential Requirements 

• Power BI Mastery with Data Visualization Excellence: : Deep demonstrable knowledge with advanced development capabilities, expert-level DAX programming, data modelling skills, and experience with AI features and Premium functionalities 

• Alteryx and SQL Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills for complex data extraction and manipulation, basic Alteryx experience, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of Power BI governance, security, and administration 

• Financial Expertise: Strong finance background or extensive experience working with financial data, proven track record in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting with business context interpretation 

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving mindset with ability to escalate and remove roadblocks, and proactive nature in identifying AI and automation opportunities 

• Quality & Collaboration: Strong attention to detail with quality assurance mindset essential for financial data accuracy, excellent teamwork skills across Finance, FP&A and IT teams 

Desirable Skills 

• Advanced Alteryx Certification 

• Power Automate knowledge  

• Experience with TM1 

• Basic Jira knowledge

Location: The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our Bengaluru office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office location to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 5 days per week in-person time.
