Job Description
This role is based in our Suite 5-01, Level 5, Sunway VISIO Tower, Lingkaran SV, Sunway Velocity, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office.
ROLE SUMMARY:
- Responsible for supporting & analyzing customer data from various databases across ASEAN
- Coordinate with stakeholders across different country event teams to execute continuous process improvement and system implementation
- Expected to write SQL / Python code to extract data from various databases, cleanse, validate, consolidate, and visualize data
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Marketing, Operation, and Technology to source the necessary data and understand the data
- Manage master data, including creation, updates, import, and export
- Review and validate a wide range of SQL-based data across different databases and systems
- Define data performance, lifecycle and quality metrics and ensuring compliance with data related policies and standards
- Ensure data quality issues are logged, tracked, and remedied in a timely and effective manner
- Engage and execute the dashboards on Tableau / PowerBI, or similar visualization tools
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present results in a clear manner
- Provide system and data management support to internal ASEAN teams for ongoing and new initiatives
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report metrics to upper management
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for technical teams
- Analyze and model business processes to identify areas for improvement
- Ability to continuously monitor and adapt to emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving business environments to ensure solutions remain forward-thinking and competitive
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, or equivalent quantitative fields
- 3+ years’ experience in business and data analytics
- Strong in SQL to perform data querying and conducting data analysis
- Experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Experience with ETL pipelines or data integration tools
- Familiarity with marketing analytics or customer data platforms
- Knowledge in Python will be an advantage
- Experience in Reporting tools (Tableau / PowerBI) will be an advantage
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile methodologies
- Strong communication (spoken & written) skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
