Job Description
This role is based in our Paya Lebar Quarter 3 office.
Senior / Conference Producer role is a strategic position suited to candidates with strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of the broader business landscape, requires prior experience in B2B conference production. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality content, engaging with senior-level advisory boards, collaborating with marketing teams on content marketing initiatives, and working closely with content partners to deliver impactful and commercially successful events.
This role involves conducting market research, managing partners and liaising with senior management, requiring the candidate to possess exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate should be adept at identifying emerging commercial trends and translating insights into commercially compelling content for SPEX purposes. Prior experience in the Maritime, Energy, or Industrial sectors would be advantageous but not necessary.
Job Summary:
- Research and curate conference programmes aligned with industry trends and audience interests
- Conduct in-depth market research and gather industry intelligence to assess the commercial viability and optimal timing of conference topics
- Identify target audiences and potential sponsors to ensure the commercial success of each event
- Source, approach, and secure high-quality speakers to participate in the programme
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional copy and content marketing aligned with conference themes
- Lead partner meetings on content co- curation where needed
- Oversee and manage the smooth execution of the conference on the day of the event
- Monitor and ensure the quality and relevance of speaker presentations
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with speakers, sponsors, and delegates through strategic networking and engagement
- Work collaboratively within a cross-functional project team including event, marketing, sales, and operations
- Partner closely with the Event Director to develop content partnerships and innovative, format-driven content products
- Directly manage and mentor a Conference Executive
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of confidence in professional settings
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in conference production / similar role
- Able to commit longer working hours i.e. weekends during event period and leading up to event
- Comfortable with travelling once every 2 years.
Candidates with significant experience may be considered for a Senior Conference Producer title.
