Job Description
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Forge strategic partnerships with management team members to drive HR consultancy services and strategic initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor on people and organization-related matters, focusing on:
- Talent management
- Performance management
- Organizational effectiveness and optimisation
- Reward and recognition
- Champion new people initiatives as a change agent within the assigned client group
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues and manage people-related risks
- Ensure proper execution and ownership of HR processes
- Empower managers to handle day-to-day employee matters while offering expert guidance on sensitive, high-profile, or strategically impactful issues
- Analyse and leverage people metrics (headcount, performance, talent, attrition, spans of control, engagement) to inform HR actions and priorities
- Play a key role in HR activities across the UK and EMEA region, covering a wide range of areas including operations, benefits, compliance, and redundancies
- Drive outcomes while working effectively in ambiguous situations
- Serve as a knowledgeable escalation point for Employee Relations matters and mentor junior HR colleagues
- Partner with specific business units (e.g., Research Operations, Marketing, or Product) to provide focused HR support and strategic guidance
- Collaborate effectively with HR leadership team and specialists
Qualifications
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of current HR practices and global business environments
- Strong consulting, change management, and influencing abilities
- Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to establish trust
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to apply HRBP expertise strategically
- Proven track record of delivering accountable project and business results
- Strong organisational awareness and agility
- Data analysis skills
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations, including confidence in handling complex ER issues
- Ability to work with external legal support when necessary
- Persistence, pragmatism, and the ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous situations
This role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the London office: 240 Blackfriars Rd, London SE1 8BU, UK.
