Job Description
FARM PROGRESS, a division of Informa Markets, is the market leader in the Agricultural sector. Our goal is to provide U.S. farmers, ranchers and producers with content on production practices, trade, marketing, government policy, new technologies, critical insights and analysis that will support this community with the tools to make informed decisions that will drive growth for their businesses. Farm Progress is the number one agricultural informational provider in the U.S. that utilizes print, digital, broadcast and events as communication channels for the Agricultural market.
Informa Markets is seeking a full-time Strategic Account Manager for its Farm Progress Livestock Portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience and expertise in creating innovative media packages tailored for a defined set of clients. They should have a solid sales background and preferably a strong understanding of animal agriculture. Additionally, the candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of media, with a particular emphasis on digital, social media, print, and events.
Role Accountability and Duties:
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals and key KPIs.
- Prospect for and generate new business opportunities within the assigned geography.
- Develop timely, need-based proposals utilizing all appropriate tools at your disposal.
- Maintain a keen understanding of all products within the portfolio, including current and future offerings.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive product innovation.
- Manage time, travel, and expenses effectively.
- Participate appropriately in conferences and events, both internal and external.
- Travel up to 25% as needed.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of sales activities and market knowledge.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of sales experience required, with a preference for agricultural experience.
- Ability to identify customer needs and effectively match them with our expansive product portfolio.
- Strong digital insight and knowledge.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners.
- Proactively collaborate with others on the sales team and across functional departments.
Additional Information:
- Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid)
- Salary: up to $80,000 plus commission.
