Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial success of a purely consumer-focused events portfolio, including Fan Expo HQ, MegaCon, Interior Design Show (IDS), ART and One-of-a-Kind Show. As Sponsorship Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving significant revenue growth by leveraging sponsorship opportunities to enhance the attendee experience and amplify brand engagement.
The Sponsorship Director drives sponsorship success for Fan Expo HQ, MegaCon, Interior Design Show (IDS), ART and One-of-a-Kind Show events worldwide.
Responsible for sponsorship planning, sales, relationship-building, contract negotiation, activation management, and client relations.
Focuses on identifying growth opportunities and securing new sponsorships to increase revenue.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and community partners.
Develop comprehensive sponsorship sales plans and compelling prospectuses.
Represent events at key functions, shows, and onsite opportunities to foster relationships and identify revenue streams.
Create and execute targeted sponsorship opportunities and activation plans.
Negotiate sponsorship terms, finalize contracts, and manage activation deliverables.
Monitor sponsorship performance, track metrics, and generate reports to optimize strategies.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote sponsorship benefits and opportunities.
Lead the sponsorship team, overseeing booth sales and exhibitor recruitment.
Key Dimensions:
Strategic Planning: Analyze data, redefine goals, set priorities, and guide marketing plans.
Sponsorship Oversight: Manage the sponsorship program, identify opportunities, and ensure activation success.
Onsite Management: Oversee sponsor presence, space allocation, design, and logistics.
Further Information:
Salary range: $125,000 to $150,000 plus uncapped commission.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams, particularly in event sales, sponsorships, or exhibitions.
- Strong background in business-to-consumer (B2C) event sales, particularly in industries related to events, exhibitions, or sponsorships.
- In-depth understanding of event planning, trade shows, or pop culture exhibitions, including logistics and operations.
- Expertise in managing long-term client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve targets.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage sales pipelines and client relationships.
- Skilled in creating and managing budgets, with experience in revenue forecasting and expense tracking.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during event hours when required.
