Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Tax Senior Accountant to join our team. The Corporate Tax Senior Accountant will be responsible for reviewing federal and state corporate tax returns, partnership returns, calculating book-tax differences, state apportionment calculations, supporting annual tax provision calculations, and handling quarterly estimates and annual extension calculations. Additionally, this role will involve reviewing account reconciliations, responding to state tax notices and audit inquiries, and providing support on various tax projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Job duties include:
- Detailed review of federal and state corporate tax returns, including unitary filings.
- Detailed review of federal and state partnership returns.
- Calculation of book-tax differences.
- Detailed review of quarterly estimates, extensions and preparation of annual provision calculations.
- Detailed review of state apportionment and state modification calculations.
- Facilitate data gathering with accounting teams and third-party advisors.
- Research, coordinate, and provide relevant information document request responses to Federal and state auditors, as needed.
- Review of account reconciliations.
- Participate in special projects and perform technical tax research as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- 5+ years of federal and state tax experience required, including at least 1 year of review/supervisory experience.
- Mix of public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience with CorpTax a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
- Team player with positive attitude.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $85k-$100k depending on experience.
