Informa Tech is seeking the next great event sales professional to join us as we expand the Data Center World event team. Data Center World is the #1 North American event in the market and attracts high quality operations, facility and IT Data Center decision makers. 

The Sales Manager will sell exhibit space and sponsorships at the Data Center World event (April 2025 in Washington D.C.) to customers within an assigned US-based territory. The sales manager can uplevel their conversations with a portfolio that includes digital products such as Data Center World. They will capitalize on the growth potential of the brand by selling comprehensive marketing packages to new and existing clients. With an emphasis on both account management, prospect qualifying & research, and new business growth, this position is ready for a driven salesperson to have outstanding success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell exhibit space, sponsorships, and digital products 
  • Develop and manage a territory for maximum sales success
  • Utilize Salesforce.com for efficient territory and pipeline management
  • Strategically partner with existing clients and actively prospect for new ones
  • Create compelling proposals that meet client objectives
  • Build strong relationships through calls, meetings, and industry events
  • Consistently exceed sales goals

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience (3-5 years) managing territory, acquiring new business, and handling existing accounts.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed and a competitive spirit.
  • Proven sales process expertise including prospecting, pipeline building, proposals, negotiations, and presentations to decision-makers.
  • Exemplary customer service with a focus on honesty and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com (or similar CRM) and Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Prior B2B media/event sales experience (especially technology market and exhibit space).
  • Experience with consultative selling for complex accounts.
  • Knowledge of tech events and media markets
  • Experience partnering with internal experts for content and subject matter.

Job Expiration: November 22, 2024.
Salary: $67k to $77k, plus commission.
