We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.
Job Description
Job Overview:
The Conference & Business Development Manager is a dual-role position that combines the strategic planning and execution of high-quality conferences with a focus on business growth and association relationships. This role requires a dynamic professional who can manage conferences, seminars and drive business objectives simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances that align with our conference goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, associations, and partners.
- Research and analyze market trends to inform business strategies for delegate, buyer and visitor development.
- Implement strategies to drive attendees for conference and exhibition e.g., telemarketing campaign.
Conference Management:
- Develop and manage conference agendas, ensuring content is relevant, innovative, and aligned with project objective and industry trends.
- Oversee the logistical planning of conferences, including venue selection, speaker coordination, registration, and on-site execution.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional strategies that maximize attendance and engagement.
- Coordinating with partner organisation/association on inviting speakers & guest and disseminating the conference information to their channel.
- Manage conference budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of each event.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in management, business development, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality events on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the trade exhibition or conference industry, with a track record of successful business development.6
- Flexibility to travel and attend industry events as required.
