Job Description

PartneringONE team is a key component of Informa Connect Life Sciences vertical, providing the digital platform to support partnering events, with over 28 events supported globally,  ten’s millions in turnover. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Operations professional to take on a lead role with a specific focus on data engineering, integration, and management to improve the quality from source to utilisation, ensuring timely and reliable data.

We are moving to data process automation - transforming the current data processes to support a digital first, future state for the partneringONE business in the Life Science market segment. We have actively engaged with a bespoke data specialist consultancy to define the blueprint in upgrading our data process and secured investment for implementation. The lead data operations role will be pivotal as our key business representative to ensure the needs of the business are being captured, addressed and best practice data processes are being implemented to drive and deliver business growth.     

This role will lead the partneringONE platform data delivery and be key  stakeholder in helping to select and evaluate data sources selection, data ingestion processes, normalisation processes, support data visualization, monitoring processes to promote data driven decision making.  Previous experience in a Data Operations role or similar is essential. Any experience in the use and practical application of automation tools for ingestion, indexing, generating data summaries would be very useful.  The role is expected to be hands on as we develop the data function and work with external experts to define, build and implement the data management production process as our foundational step.   

Data Integrations & Quality Assurance

  • Maintaining the quality and accuracy of the data from source selection, ingestion, normalisation, and utilisation to support the data analytics framework, dashboards, ensuring alignment between source and platforms.
  • Advocate automation and monitoring at all steps of data pipeline construction, from data integration, testing, releasing to deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Data explorations in digital platforms representation and utilisation for new/change requirements delivering results to the IT development team to build and support.
  • Defining CatchAll templates with internal teams, building out QA solutions for consistency
  • Building and signing-off KPI and business rule solutions, working with the business team to ensure that their narrative is replicated in the reporting build
  • Defining and setting up scheduled reports in platform UI and/or organising delivery by third parties

 

Dashboard Build & Maintenance

  • Providing QA Dashboard briefings together with Data Quality teams, ensuring the visualisations are clear for fixes to be implemented
  • Setting-up and managing access to the dashboards by the business
  • Working with Technical teams to test Dashboard to ensure they fulfil business requirements
  • Troubleshooting errors on Dashboard, liaising with Technical teams through to completion

Qualifications

  • Strong stakeholder management is required in this role, across all areas of the business
  • Software skills – Advanced level Excel, Word, PowerPoint are a pre-requisite
  • Confident presentation skills for internal and external audiences
  • 3 – 5 years of experience within a data, development or operations role
  • Experience with data and BI technologies or strong technical affinity (tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Datorama, Data Studio, Birst, SQL etc.)
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
