The Privacy Team acts as a technical and legal resource to the Group, providing advice and assistance with the practical consequences of complying with relevant obligations, including interpretation of relevant laws, and guidance on the implementation of internal policies and procedures, including those which relate to the responsible use of AI technologies. The role reports into the Global Privacy Counsel. The Privacy function ultimately reports into the Group Chief Privacy Officer (CPO). The CPO is responsible for the maintenance, execution and enforcement of the Group Privacy Programme including Groupwide policy, framework, guidance and standards for all teams and colleagues.

As part of the CoE, we are looking for an Responsible AI Manager to help outlining, delivering and extending Data & AI Compliance use cases across Group Privacy.

Job Description

We are seeking to hire a Responsible AI Manager - Compliance to lead Informa’s Responsible AI compliance efforts and contribute to the creation of the AI Policy Framework for the Informa Group.

 

The role will involve working closely with the Group Data Governance forum, the Privacy Team, and the Responsible AI Manager, Governance, who sits within the AI CoE. The key aim being to ensure that our development and use of AI technologies are transparent, ethical, and compliant with relevant regulations, and that colleagues across Informa understand their responsibilities when developing, procuring, and/or deploying AI-based solutions.

The role suits passionate, proactive, goal-oriented candidates who are intellectually curious, and thrive in complicated but ambitious organisations. The role is well-suited to versatile candidates with a background in AI Governance, Data Ethics, Privacy Compliance & Operations, Data Governance, etc. People with heart and ambition, and a strong mix of emotional and professional intelligence, will be successful in the role.

 

Your role:

  • Develop and manage AI impact assessment workflow; reviewing assessments for compliance, flagging risks and documenting mitigations
  • Be a key contributor to the co-creation and evolution of AI policies, governance, frameworks, processes and methodologies, for adoption across Informa drawing on relevant international standards as key inputs, such as the NIST AI risk management framework. It’s critical that solutions are pragmatic in what is an unclear space and off the shelf methodologies do not yet exist
  • Work with the Responsible AI Manager, Governance, to agree how to measure and report on the operationalization of Informa’s AI Policy Framework
  • Partner with the Responsible AI Manager, Governance to maintain a master register of AI deployments across Informa, documenting the use cases, their risks, reporting criteria, etc.
  • Actively participate in the AI Governance Forum to advise on policy and regulatory developments
  • Partner with the Responsible AI Manager, Governance to prepare regular written reports on responsible AI implementation and risk management to senior management and co-chair forums on AI Adoption across Informa
  • Co-create, own and complete training & communication plan for roll-out of responsible AI in Informa, focused on continually increasing AI maturity across the enterprise (Responsible AI by design)
  • Continually horizon scan for policy, regulatory, and legal developments in the field of Responsible AI, ensuring that Informa’s AI implementations are compliant with internal AI policies as well as relevant laws and regulations.  Attending events to represent Informa, provide thought leadership and knowledge share.
  • Be the internal expert advisor on the regulatory and policy requirements for Responsible AI to colleagues as well as legal, senior management, etc
  • Work with the Global Privacy Counsel to advise the business on legal requirements relating to AI.
  • Liaise closely with Privacy Team members on aspects of AI regulation that are interlinked with privacy compliance.

  • Understanding Responsible AI challenges: the technical, policy, and regulatory risks that AI technologies raise for Informa, its customers, and society
  • Get things done: highly organised, resourceful and action-oriented with experience driving focus, clarity and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment
  • Decision-making: ability to work pragmatically, having the confidence to make quick decisions based on the available data and move forward at pace in an environment of ambiguity
  • Comms and visibility: effective at managing expectations and communications (written and verbal) to all levels and disciplines in the organisation.
  • Organisational smarts: Experience working in a matrix-based organisation, building relationships and trust across a range of teams and functions. Know and understand how to bring people with you
