Job Description

Based within the Service Provider pillar at Informa Tech, we are looking for an experienced Events Marketing Manager to join our events marketing team. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of their portfolio of events. From managing the event set up to executing an integrated marketing campaign and delivering a successful event on-site, the role enables to own, nurture and grow their events. The role will focus on the Service Provider/ Telecommunications Industry.

Job Summary:

  • Build relevant event marketing strategies to deliver key business objectives and audience goals, with a focus on growth, while understanding the target audience and their behaviors
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns and tactical plans for portfolio of events that delivers paid delegates and free attendees, and adjusting plans based on real-time campaign performance
  • Work closely with central teams to set up the event on various CRM systems, platforms and portals
  • Analyzing data and spotting gaps in go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Use a mix of marketing channels to deliver on objectives and targets of the event
  • Analysis and insights reporting from marketing metrics to track ROI
  • Provide detailed weekly reporting for stakeholders on event registrations and campaign performance
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to understand which channels are performing and optimizing marketing plans
  • Manage event marketing budgets
  • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders: Sales, Production, Operations, Content, Telesales, Eloqua and Data and VIP teams
  • Work with internal and external digital agencies to launch and optimize PPC and SEM campaigns
  • Develop a good understanding of all key systems, ensure best practices, continuous improvements, and driving efficiencies
  • Defines new and innovative ways to improve campaign, processes and ways of working and champions best practice and innovations.  
  • Maximizes usage and adherence to Informa systems and processes, adopting a best practice and facilitating developments in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager to build the overall events strategy and a high performance team

Qualifications

  • Ideally at least 3-years working prior campaign experience, forming and executing a strategy and tactical plans that raises awareness, generates interest, engagement and solicits action with hands-on experience of the key digital marketing channels
  • Prior audience marketing experience and ability to understand the target audiences, brand propositions and key messages
  • Experience with using marketing automation and CRM platforms. Eloqua desirable.
  • Experience in working with data platforms and segmentation strategies
  • Digital marketing experience – SEO, Google Analytics and paid search
  • Experience with CMS platforms and website development
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player that can work collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Analytical & problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to timescales
  • Proven ability to use initiative when required and go ‘above and beyond’ in order to deliver event attendee targets
  • Self-starter approach to work, with strong attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude to deliver results.
