Job Description

Job Summary/Responsibilities

The Business Development Executive propels new revenue opportunities in the Pharma portfolio through a diverse product range, including digital marketing, content solutions, sponsorship opportunities and exhibitions. Their core objective is to exceed sales targets by adeptly using customer insight and account management. This involves leveraging relationship knowledge to effectively sell the entire product portfolio.

Critical to the role is developing an understanding of the brand industry, achieved through collaboration, and learning from Show Leads and Key Account Managers. The focus extends beyond client relationships to understanding customer needs. The Business Development Executive excels in articulating an innovative value proposition aligned with customer requirements.

Proactively staying informed on industry developments via trade journals and social media, the Manager positions themselves as a valuable information resource. In summary, the Business Development Executive not only achieves sales targets but also enhances brand and industry knowledge, offering clients a compelling and innovative value proposition.

Key Priorities

Market Expansion:

· Identify and target new business opportunities to expand the client base.

· Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and industries.

· Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Client Engagement:

· Build and nurture strong relationships with New and Lost clients.

· Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and proposing tailored solutions.

· Collaborate with clients to identify areas for additional value and growth.

Sales Strategy:

· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

· Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize solutions that meet client needs

Lead Generation:

· Proactively identify and pursue new leads through various channels.

· Utilize networking, referrals, and industry events to generate new business opportunities.

· Work closely with Marketing Lead Gen Team to leverage lead generation campaigns



Skills Required

· 3-4 years’B2B Sales Experience Proven track record in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

· Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation skills are vital for reaching mutually beneficial agreements with clients. This includes understanding the needs of both parties and finding common ground.

· Resilience: Sales can be challenging, and rejection is a common part of the process. A resilient attitude helps Business Development Executives bounce back from setbacks, learn from experiences, and persist in pursuing opportunities.

· International Events / Pharma Industry Knowledge Eminence in International Events or knowledge of the Pharma Industry.

· Matrixed International Company Experience International work experience in a matrixed organizational structure.

· Communication Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication, adept at engaging decision-makers.

· Revenue Optimization Ability to identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities for new revenue.

· Consultative Selling Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling approaches.

· Value Proposition Articulation Ability to clearly articulate the value proposition and customer ROI.

· Educational Qualification University Bachelor’s Degree with a 2:2 or higher.

· Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.

· Proactive and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. · Demonstrated enthusiastic mindset. · Exhibits determination and a strong drive to succeed. · Results focused with a clear orientation towards achieving goals. · Strong time management skills, capable of multitasking with meticulous attention to detail. · Proficient in using Salesforce for efficient workflow and data management.
