The Role

We are seeking an outgoing, lively and highly motivated individual with experience in strategically planning campaigns for clients and reporting on the successes in line with the clients' goals and expectations. The individual will be an excellent communicator who works well with external stakeholders as well as the internal marketing, sales and event teams. The candidate will also have experience supporting sales functions, understanding client goals and ensuring accurate delivery and reporting. The candidate must have exceptional attention to detail, strong project management skills and ability to work in a busy high-pressured environment.

Job Description

  • Line manage marketing executive to ensure they develop new skills and competencies
  • Provide guidance, feedback and inspiration to line reports
  • Work with line reports to ensure successful delivery of sponsorship marketing campaigns in line with agreed KPIs
  • Plan and build engaging client campaigns – including digital sales bookings, virtual event booking, physical event deliverables – to meet their strategic objectives and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Ensure the delivery of engaging digital campaigng across online media assets using a combination of email, content and digital marketing and lead generation
  • Monitor performance of media, social media, edms and other digital advertising and and make changes and adjustments to campaigns as needed
  • Continuously develop and monitor campaigns to ensure client goals are met/exceeded
  • Ensure optimisation of spend across paid channels
  • Ensure all tracking is in place (as per Informa guidelines) and that as much of the campaign can be attributed to a channel/activity as possible. Develop ways of incentivising/monitoring offline channel performance
  • Oversee the production of timely and detailed reports for internal sales teams but also sponsors, clients and advertisers
  • Develop sales collateral (email, print, digital) for the commercial impact, digital and publications sales teams


Thorough understanding & experience of digital (PPC, SEO, online advertising) and direct marketing
• Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting
• Analytical and questioning mindset
• Significant exposure to design and print suppliers / agencies
• Deadline and target driven
• Experience of working in a pressurised environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel and
• Experience of managing social media through scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite etc.
• Experience of using marketing automation technology (preferably Eloqua)
• Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required)
• Experience of marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics/Adobe or others)

  • Assist sales teams in developing creative and custom solutions that leverage on the Portfolio assets
  • Conduct internal discussions concerning viability of concepts and campaigns that are offered to clients
  • Liaise with digital marketing managers to optimise digital strategy to enhance sponsors' campaign performance
  • Develop benchmarks and provide guidance to clients on best practice methods to optimise campaign performance for maximum ROI
  • Experience in aggregating information from a variety of sources and putting together reports and documents.
  • Positive, proactive attitude – able to identify what needs to be done, and tackle it energetically and tenaciously.
  • Strong and clear communicator, comfortable communicating in writing and verbally with many different people in different job functions and different levels.
  • Able to work in a busy, dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of commonly used business software.
