Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Head of Marketing for PartneringOne Plus will drive the launch and aggressive revenue growth for the Partnering One Plus solution by directing all online and traditional marketing initiatives in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. In the first six months the successful scaleup and launch of the SaaS product will be the main focus of the role.  Following the launch the focus of this role will be to create and sustain awareness and demand, while delivering enablement and support to a direct sales team. The role includes creation and delivery of a multi-channel marketing strategy that will encompass content marketing, SEO and customer engagement.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing of Life Sciences, the role will have overall strategic and tactical marketing responsibility for this key product. We are looking for a growth marketer who can take this line of business from launch to $20 million in renewing subscriptions in five years.

JOB FUNCTION

 

Marketing Strategy and Analysis (20%)

  • Work with the VP Marketing, Product Lead, Commercial Lead and overall Business Lead (P&L holder) to develop marketing strategies and associated tactics that support revenue goals
  • Create multi-channel plan for product launch and manage the integration and delivery of this plan
  • Ensure marketing strategy is informed by robust analysis of marketing performance by implementing framework and culture of metrics. Create and employ marketing analytics to drive performance improvements, including Google Analytics, Attribution Reporting and Audience Segmentation Analysis

Messaging, Brand Management and Awareness (10%)

  • Develop and maintain relevant and detailed marketing personas through customer research and validation
  • Be the champion of the brand and ensure consistency in delivery, including look and feel, value proposition and messaging pillars
  • Directing and managing agency relationships, where appropriate
  • Manage the product promotional web site
  • Support UX/UI and Product Development teams on design and communications needs

Content Marketing (20%)

  • Develop the content marketing and community engagement strategy
  • Direct, and contribute to, the creation of marketing content
  • Manage marketing content production which includes online training programs, expert content and building a network of subject matter experts
  • Manage execution of amplification campaigns and community engagement tactics
  • Develop event strategies including webinars and tradeshows
  • Direct supporting design and procurement activities

Demand Generation and Sales Enablement (10%)

  • Create innovative and high-performing lead generation programs focused on specific target markets/personas, with a heavy focus on developing inbound marketing through content marketing and SEO/SEM
  • Create engaging and dynamic sales enablement resources, including pitch decks, collateral and online resources.

Customer Engagement and Retention (20%)

  • Develop customer marketing programs, including re-engagement series and retention marketing
  • Support renewal campaigns and other outcomes of the customer success and engagement teams
  • Support engagement with the User Steering Committee through communications and live / digital workshops

Marketing Management (15%)

  • Manage a small team of marketing professionals
  • Collaborate actively with key stakeholders including Head of Customer Success, Head of Sales and Product Owner

Other (5%)

  • Maintain knowledge of new marketing technology tools, lead generation, content marketing and analytic best practice techniques.
  • Attend conferences as required to support sales and marketing objectives.
  • Manage ad hoc projects as required by the business.

 

KEY METRICS:

  • Annual lead generation goals which are derived from and driving the company’s revenue goals and objectives

Qualifications

To do well in this role you will need to be a dynamic and growth focused marketer with a broad understanding of digital marketing techniques. Specifically we require:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration, or Marketing
  • 5 or more years in a SaaS growth marketing role
  • Experience working in a small team or start up managing the runway to launch
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to clarify and prioritize goals
  • Senior level experience of key capability areas: analytics, A/B testing, CRO, content marketing, demand generation, SEO, sales enablement, Customer nurturing
  • Strategic mindset and ability to focus, and re-focus based on market feedback and launch progress
  • Experience managing other marketers to high performance standards
  • Experience working with a range of MarTech solutions and a proactive problem solving approach to MarTech
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing objectives, to adapt quickly to change, to prioritize and juggle to consistently meet multiple, short deadlines
