Job Description

Today, we are recruiting for an Audience Engagement Co-ordinator to be based in Central London, as well as regular international, alongside some home working. The role will report directly to the Senior Audience Engagement Manager.

 

The position of Audience Engagement Co-ordinator is one of high responsibility and accountability within Informa Global Finance. Joining a growing team, you will act as the lead on community building and relationship management with highly influential institutional investors and specifically support the SuperReturn portfolio which includes in person and digital events. The environment is demanding but rewarding and you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects at once.

 

The relationships and networks developed by the Audience Engagement Co-ordinator will drive the success of our events – improving the quality of our audiences and increasing the inventory for our sponsorship sales. The position is best suited to a self-motivated and confident individual who is happy to work individually and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Expand the offering and strategy for the Audience Engagement team in conjunction with the Head of Audience Engagement and Global Head of SuperReturn
  • Liaise with conference producers, sales team members, speakers and sponsors to identifying key industry community members and VIPs to invite to Informa Global Finance events.
  • Contact selected individuals by email and by telephone to discuss attendance and securing their participation in various structured networking / social formats.
  • Meet and greet the VIPs onsite at the events, ensure they are looked after and participate in the proposed networking/social programme.
  • Ensure that VIPs have a superior customer experience throughout the campaign.
  • Work closely with the event sponsors to maximise the participation of their clients in the event.
  • Build strong relationships with these key VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
  • Organise VIP Dinners, Breakfast Briefings and Closed-Door Meetings and securing attendance at these functions and formats.
  • Deliver the 1-to-1 Meeting Service, (physical and digital) in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP (including CFOs/COOs and other key stakeholder) passes.
  • Increase the overall SuperReturn community (including CFOs/COOs and key influencers), using research methods and relationship building.
  • Identify new key target groups and utilise these contacts to broaden the opportunities for the sales team
  • Develop and leverage relationships with key influencers, trade associations and other organisations to grow the VIP outreach, for example, via partnerships.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to network with senior industry figures
  • The desire to think creatively, to innovate and to shape a product around customer needs
  • Proven research skills using a number of information sources
  • Time management with an ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and a collaborative mind set

Previous Experience

  • The role will focus on events in the private equity and venture capital industry, experience or knowledge of the financial services sector is ideal but not essential
  • A degree is highly advantageous 
  • Experience in a corporate B2B environment
