Job Description
The Assistant Accounting Manager is a trusted business partner to the Country General Manager and has a rich element of interaction with the Event Directors for the provision of financial analytics to aid in sales, marketing and commercial decisions on the portfolio of events within the geography of its operations. As part of the ASEAN Finance Leadership charter, the Assistant Accounting Manager would be empowered to instill accountability, transparency and innovation through the application of sound Financial Analytics and Business Intelligence tools and to support the business within the jurisdictional compliance framework.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities
Primary responsible for managing the accounting records, compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations and ensure timely and accuracy of financial information for Thailand entities, not limited to
- Review and prepare month end close and reporting (AR, AP, GL and TB)
- Provide reconciliation analysis and variances commentary
- Working Capital management and cashflow reporting, planning and analysis
- Provision of reporting requirements as requested by Group Finance
- Provision of Balance Sheet reconciliation and analysis
- Provide feedback for improvement of internal processes
- Assume any other or regional tasks as and when required
- Liaise with External Auditors to manage yearly statutory audit requirements
- Liaise with Tax Agent to ensure timely filing and submission of VAT, WHT and Corporate Income Tax
- Liaison with ASSC HK for all month end reporting requirements
- Escalate compliance on non-conformance or findings in a timely manner
- Provide support on Internal Audit activities and queries
- Robust understanding and enforcement of the Country Delegated Authority
- Adherence to and enforcement of Group Policies (Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Legal)
- Ensure the operations of the business are complying to the local Acts and Laws
Compliance and Reporting
- Liaise with External Auditors to manage yearly statutory audit requirements
- Liaise with Tax Agent to ensure timely filing and submission of VAT and Corporate Income Tax
- Liaison with ASSC HK for all month end reporting requirements

Qualifications
You should be…
- A passionate and driven finance professional with an insatiable desire to learn and develop in your field of expertise
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in manager levels with 3 years audit experienc e
- Strong accounting knowledge, familiar with and conversant with latest accounting standards
- Analytical and meticulous to details
- High integrity and able to work independently
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership skill
- Proactive and result oriented
- Open to learning and assuming responsibilities with pride and ownership
- An independent strategic thinker with an analytical and inquisitive mindset
