Job Description

Your Role:

  • Design and build robust SQL data engineering pipelines
  • Work with a team of data engineers, architects and database administrators working in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Drive adoption of the new Customer Data Platform across the business
  • Be extremely hands-on with SQL and data transformations
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on how to improve the overall data engineering architecture towards a scalable, cost effective ecosystem
  • Monitor and support new and existing data pipelines
  • Bring an innovative mindset, thinking outside the box

Your Deliverables:

  • Evolve the Customer Data Platform and ensure the adoption of the platform is robust
  • Contribute on the development of the Customer Data Platform in all aspects from data ingestion to modelling to oversight of the success of the customers using the platform
  • Ensure the business-as-usual activities related to data loading and processing are running within agreed SLAs
  • Heavily involved User Acceptance Testing, writing test cases, testing data continuously to produce a robust data platform
  • Support implementation of Informa’s Customer Data Platform to support exceptional customer experience


Your Expertise:

  • Excellent knowledge of prevailing SQL/Non-SQL technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles of ETL/ELT and the tools/technologies used to implement them
  • Solid understanding of Marketing Analytics and the Martech/Adtech Industry a plus 
  •  Good knowledge of, and working experience in Python
  • Experience of Website tagging and real-time ingestion of such data (snowplow, google tag manager)
  • Experience using CI/CD pipelines (code repositories like Bitbucket, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Agile methodology including WIP management, backlog grooming/prioritisation, reporting and dashboards, preferably using Jira
  • Knowledge and working experience on data management technologies and frameworks, preferably on Python, Airflow, DBT
  • Experience with Digdag, Embulk, Presto is a plus
  • The ability to use and explain ML algorithms with a view use predictive modelling within the Customer Data Platform (, Tealium, Treasure Data, Lytics, Adobe) would be a plus
  • Programmatic advertising experience is a plus
