Job Description

The Marketing Director role plays a key part in defining and shaping the overall strategy and future of the brand.

As a senior management role you will need to drive forward the development of the Vitafoods portfolio including the strategic & tactical marketing plans to achieve revenue, visitor, exhibitor, sponsorship and development goals, and to promote a positive image of the company and products in all communications.

This senior management role is responsible for leading and developing a marketing team to maximise effectiveness and efficiency across the portfolio. The role holder will be a key member of the Informa Markets UK Senior Management Team.

We are looking for a candidate that is driven, motivated and understands data, digital and insights to drive marketing campaigns. This individual should be calm under pressure, think methodically, is an exceptional problem solver and is always striving for leading a team in best practice marketing. The successful candidate knows how to prioritize the marketing teams’ time for delivery and will ensure they leave no stone unturned in the bid for successful campaigns.

§  Attendee and commercial growth for both hybrid events & conferences as well as online growth for the digital products within the portfolio.

§  Driving new initiatives and delivering marketing strategies across all events

§  Evaluation and selection of effective marketing channels, including digital, to achieve pre-determined goals

§  The management of 3 Marketing Managers who in turn manage executives and assistants across marketing & digital product functions

§  Effectiveness of marketing campaigns across the group

§  Digital performance and audience generation for Vitafoods Insights and all Vitafoods digital products to be launched in 2022.

§  Brand development: working closely with the brand team to develop effective marketing strategies for the launch of new events and products within the portfolio

§  Strategic relationships with key Event Partners and stakeholders both internally and externally

§  Budget for team salaries and marketing costs across all events

§  Team management: performance, development plans and overall structure

Qualifications

§  Proven experience of managing a marketing team and managers within an events business

§  Proven experience in digital marketing as well as traditional direct marketing and communications

§  Degree or professional qualification in a business / marketing related field

§  Financial planning and budgeting

§  Experience with working with data and insights

§  Experience with marketing technology and digital products

§  Strategic planning

§  Experience with effectively capturing, storing and using customer data

§  Analytical skills – for interpretation and formulation of research, new products & development

§  Idea generator, initiative-taker and ability to think strategically
