The Learning and Performance Apprentice will be a part of the Global Learning and Performance (L&P) Team. Informa Tech is on a continuous journey of improvement to carry on delivering against its ambitions. The L&P team plays a critical role in supporting the organisation to achieve its goals by creating the necessary conditions for the whole organisation to deliver, as effectively as it can, against its plan. This role is paying £18,000 per year and will be a great opportunity for someone to learn whilst they earn.
To do this effectively, the L&P team must focus on its customers’ needs and constantly look for better ways of working to deliver for and support the organisation and our partners.
They will also have the opportunity to develop key transferable skills, including team working, communication, organisation, prioritisation and data analysis. The Apprentice will be studying towards L3 L&D Practitioner Apprenticeship.
Administration of E-Learning platforms and Learning Management Systems, including content curation, data management and addressing candidate queries and issue resolution.
Learning to create and edit e-learning modules using e-learning creation tools.
Identify and reveiw learning needs for each profession
Assisting with the production of reports and taking responsibility for producing regular reports.
Providing administrative support for online websites.
Updating and maintaining contact lists and databases.
Assisting with marketing when required using the available platforms.
Managing the learning inbox, including answering questions and resolving queries
Supporting the L&P Partner in Talent projects.
Shadowing team members to observe good practice and become an integral part of the team. Observing complex meetings that relate to particular areas of interest for future development.
Developing a good understanding of the purpose of L&P Team Actively researching and accessing learning opportunities to support professional development.
Booking training, supporting meetings and events, setting up physical or virtual training rooms, ensuring appropriate layout and resources are available for delegates and trainers. Supporting the preparation, facilitation and administration of meetings for colleagues within the L&P Team.
Monitoring attendance at L&D events, assisting in tracking, monitoring, reporting and evaluating.
Learning to set up and trouble shoot IT equipment for the trainers, including laptops, smart boards and all other equipment used by L&P.
Facilitate and deliver short learning modules in a face to face or digital environment
Producing and maintaining training materials
Financial administration work to include processing invoices, updating tracking sheets and relevant finance systems, chasing payments and answer vendor questions.
To achieve success, you will learn on the job, studying for the L3 Learning and Development Practitioner.

- GCSE Equivalent Grade C/4 and above in English & Maths
- Have lived in the UK/EEA continuously for the last 3 years
- Enthusiasm and commitment for a career in Learning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
- Good communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internal departments and key contacts
- Be pro-active and able to take initiative
- Highly organised, diligent with attention to detail
- An interest in developing the ability to collate and provide statistical data
- An interest in multimedia design and marketing
- A willingness to challenge the status quo where appropriate
