We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

This is a dynamic position on the exhibition management team, collaborating with the Group Event Director to develop and execute a strategic marketing campaign.  The event marketing manager will be a strong leader with a passion for excellence, have a curiosity for learning about new technologies and people, and possess an analytical approach to measuring results.  


  • Collaborate with Group Event Director to develop strategic marketing plans designed to drive growth in exhibitor and attendee categories for live and virtual event portfolio

  • Create, manage, develop and produce attendee and exhibitor promotional collateral including:

    • Work with show team to develop themes, ideas, concepts and schedule

    • Develop content copy and support materials

    • Manage production with creative department to develop design and content including proofing each stage

    •  Analyze metrics for effectiveness of campaigns, then modify future plans accordingly

  • Overall responsibility for tactical execution of marketing campaigns including:

    • Development of value propositions, copy writing and editing

    •  Understand e-mail marketing system and how to effectively use it to send and track messages

    • Understand data segmentation, targeted marketing approaches and best practices around email marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate with central marketing team to develop social media and digital marketing campaigns.  Monitor and analyze results.

  • Develop industry ‘personas’ to drive deeper understanding and effectiveness of attendee messaging strategies.

  • Research technologies that can create efficiencies or more effective penetration into markets

  • Manage media barter activities including:

    • Negotiate and manage advertising space and other promotional activities (web banners, email blasts, social media posts, etc) with key industry publications

  • Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining the website including:

    •  Develop and update content as needed ensuring information is accurate and timely

    •  Develop and distribute production schedule to team and regularly gather team’s input for changes

  • Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining marketing budgets


Function as integral part of overall show management effort in performing additional duties as required.

Travel, as required.


  • Three to five years experience in marketing, preferably in a trade show or events environment.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and multiple project timelines.
  • Knowledge of Eloqua preferred.
  • Project oriented with superior attention to detail and outstanding organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Copy writing and editing experience a must.
  • Strong team player who interacts well with external clients, vendors and internal teams.
