The Service Provider consulting team provide a range of custom research services which includes total addressable market analysis, competitor analysis, customer insights, product benchmarking and business strategy development. Job Description

Role Purpose: Sell and deliver custom services to clients in respective pillar, supporting the achievement of the consulting revenue target for relevant pillar. Working on some of the most exciting projects in the relevant market through our blue-chip client list, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening existing customer relationships as well as developing new ones.

Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

Project delivery

•Managing custom research deliverables, delivering projects to client satisfaction, utilising strong knowledge of relevant industry.

•Achieves individual billable utilisation targets.

•Contributing to the delivery of projects through the completion of project activity, mostly focused on programme management and/or by contributing ‘internal’ deliverables for incorporation into larger project deliverables, as well as bids with multiple components.

•Acts as the Editor in Chief for White Papers prior to editing.

•Project management skills – awareness of budget, timeline and programme delivery management, engaging on a weekly basis with Line Manager.

Bid Management

•Work closely with Account Managers to develop new business.

•Bid management: manage the proposal and bid stages of all types custom projects. Upsells more complex elements to simple solution bids to drive average price and margin,

•Where necessary, contribute towards the management of third-party sub-contractors, for example for primary research delivery

Business development

•Contribute to the ongoing development of a compelling consulting proposition that builds on Informa Tech’s reputation as a “industry thought leader”.

•Build connections and relationships with customers and internally to support the evolution and delivery of the marketing services proposition

•With the account management team, expand Informa Tech’s presence in key accounts by networking with research users and executives. Maintain a good working relationship with the Intel & Advice Sales account management team to proactively develop the organisation’s commercial position.

•Working with the Consulting & Custom Solutions team and other internal teams to implement the group and Market Pillar growth strategy.

Qualifications

•Prior experience with a Management Consultancy firm, analyst house, or as a senior  from the Service Provider industry.

•Possess a sounds understanding of relevant industry dynamics and trends, with demonstrable experience in leading varied projects and ongoing client engagement / development

•Experience of working with senior internal management in budget and objective setting for custom research practice

•Ability to work with and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders

•Experience of working closely and influencing sales teams and training them in consulting sales

•Excellent and proven client management skills

•Experience in running several consulting projects at any given time
