What We’re Looking For

Informa Markets is hiring a Senior Digital Marketing Executive to be based in Turkey Istanbul Office.

This role requires a well-rounded digital marketer with expertise in SEO and CRO, but with the proven ability to design and manage a paid digital media strategy (either executed in-house or through an agency). The candidate for this role must be an expert and have proven experience in driving new, relevant web traffic through SEO as well as being able to demonstrate knowledge and activity in converting web traffic to customers, whether they be event attendees / exhibitors or in a sphere outside the event world.

This candidate should be analytics-led, always looking for opportunities to improve the digital strategy and raise the bar. This role will wholly own the Search traffic KPI, as well as be expected to prove results in conversion improvement through web testing. This role will also work with marketing managers to develop, execute and monitor the paid strategy.

A strong stakeholder manager, the senior digital marketing executive must work closely with brand-aligned marketers to significantly improve inbound results and will report into the Group Marketing Manager in Turkey office.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

To contribute to the overall success of the Turkey marketing team through effective digital marketing strategies and successful implementation.


  • Ownership and accountability for digital marketing strategy, including planning, implementation, management and optimisation for both inbound marketing and paid media
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of target audience and show strategy
  • Assist in setting up and managing digital marketing campaigns
  • Delivers on strategic KPIs by driving online traffic and ability to present these ongoing results in a regular update
  • Development and implementation of link building strategies
  • Identifies evolving SEO practices and collaborates with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop new cutting edge digital campaign
  • Understands their customers’ digital behaviour, through continual testing and reporting on channel and campaign performance, in order to optimise plans. This will include using Adobe Analytics or similar to spot issues and opportunities
  • Works collaboratively with wider marketing team to review and make changes/improvements to digital campaigns to ensure customer engagement and conversion is optimised



  • Line manage digital marketer/s in order to successfully implement campaign strategies
  • Provide guidance, feedback and inspiration to line reports
  • Champion the adoption and optimisation of marketing technology solutions and digital marketing
  • Work with line reports to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line with agreed KPI’s and divisional strategy
  • Work with line reports to develop skills and competencies and ensure they have a clear development roadmap
  • Ensure line reports are competent and have the skills and training required
  • Ensure optimisation of marketing technology solutions, identify training needs and ensure line reports are technically proficient
  • Reflect the high-performance culture of the marketing team
  • Work with Group Marketing Manager to ensure right structure, specialisms and level of resources to meet agreed KPI’s
  • Collaborating with other digital marketers within Informa Markets - EMEA business


  • Continuously monitor daily/weekly reporting of KPIs, including campaign performance
  • Recommend changes to campaign execution based on data insights
  • Share relevant insights with Group Marketing Manager to drive revenues or pursue new opportunities
  • Analyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns
  • Ensure delivery and accuracy of pre-agreed reports during and post campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROI
  • Use recommended campaign analytics dashboards to monitor performance
  • Build a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the teams
  • Share case studies with marketers within the team, division and Informa Markets


  • Work with the marketing team to plan product marketing campaigns to meet strategic objectives – for exhibitions and digital products
  • Monitor operational implementation plans and ensure adherence to deadlines (including Gantt charts, Time & Action Plans, Content Calendars, Budget Trackers)
  • Assist marketing managers with the development of marketing budgets in line with plans and ensure digital elements of budget trackers are up to date
  • Recommend external suppliers and ensure adherence to contractual terms and delivery
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver digital marketing in line with marketing plans to hit agreed KPI's
  • Ensure optimisation of spend across marketing channels
  • Recommend website strategy to maximise relevant traffic and conversion


  • Work with marketers to identify the target universe and key segments within the target universe
  • Monitor and recommend adjustments to the digital marketing activity based on performance metrics
  • Contribute to the Content Calendar to ensure delivery through the most relevant channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail etc)
  • Ensure all digital marketing output is thoroughly proofed, adheres to brand guidelines and agreed Informa standards


Skills Required

  • Significant experience in a digital marketing role
  • Experience of both managing and creating PPC campaigns with a key focus on achieving ROI
  • Analytical and questioning mindset
  • Solid experience of A/B testing
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Proven experience of hitting digital channel KPIs
  • Self-motivating with strong ability to work both on independent projects and projects involving many stakeholders
  • Advanced Level of English
  • Native Turkish Speaker



  • Formal business/marketing higher education qualification
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience of working in a pressurised environment
