Job Description

Data Engineers are focused on improving the process of identifying key valuable data, collecting, structuring, and utilizing data to create comprehensive analytics to support different aspects of our business streams. You will be a part of the Data Requirement Area, a group of passionate cross-functional, engineering-oriented, and data-driven professionals. With a curious, agile, and engineering-driven team which is working on developing insights that are used in scenarios from understanding customer behaviour, satisfaction, and concerns, to defining and tracking key metrics and providing the future roadmap for the data-driven decision making that will push our company to the cutting edge of innovation. As technology agnostic team and company, we are looking for optimal technical solutions, so you will work on a variety of tools and platforms using different programming languages.

In this role, you will firstly collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to enable timely and actionable insights aligned with the business’s key strategies. You will perform deep analysis to understand internal data, processes, customer usage patterns and when ready leverage this knowledge to suggest and provide meaningful improvement and optimisation where needed.

If you are an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up, we could be a good match. 

What to expect:

  • Analyse internal stakeholder requirements for information and analytics needs, identify pain points and areas of improvements in the current setup
  • Process evaluation, mapping, and improving design by evaluating methodologies and assuring best practices implementation
  • Cooperate with Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Managers, Product Analysts, and decision-makers to understand data needs and manage Data Pipelines for versatile Data Science use cases
  • Design, build, test, launch and monitor efficient data pipelines assuring seamless process integration within data analytics tools stack to improve data-driven decision making

Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies related to Data Management, Data Exploration and Data Pipelines
  • Proven track record of working with noisy, dirty, and unstructured data. Data cleansing, scraping unstructured data and converting into structured data is preferred
  • Drive for working on large-scale data analytics and hight throughput data pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with Java (R / Julia / Python are a plus)
  • 2+ years’ experience in usage of SQL / PLSQL / TSQL
  • Familiarity and some experience with Docker and Jenkins
  • Excellent debugging, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile methodology is an advantage
  • Some knowledge and experience working with NoSQL databases is a plus
