Job Description

Why is this role important at Infobip?  

Our new Developer Experience Department is creating new and innovative ways how to share Infobip technological achievements and knowledge with the rest of the IT community. As a Developer Experience Engineer you will be dedicated to development of public API libraries using number of technologies based on internal needs and your own interests. So, if you see programming language as a tool and yourself as a technology agnostic and from time to time you are willing to present your work to others, join us and together with the team of our DX Engineers and Developer Advocates become a part of our success story. 

What will you do at Infobip?  

  • Develop API libraries currently for 3 different programming languages and expand it in future 
  • Develop demo projects and showcases for using Infobip public API
  • Develop different SDKs  
  • Develop and research new ways to improve developer workflows and practices 
  • Contribute to API documentation and technical user guides 
  • Focus on investigating and providing open-source solutions 
  • Brainstorm with a team about new technical solutions and possible improvements 
  • Be a regular contributor to engineering community 
  • If interested, occasionally speak at podcasts, seminars, conferences, etc. 
  • Expand and improve your knowledge both internally and externally and innovate on how we engage the rest of the engineering community  
  • Work within agile framework (Scrum, LESS) and have a dedicated Product Manager 


Required qualifications:  

  • Mid or senior professional looking for new challenges  
  • Broad over deep experience working with different programming languages and frameworks 
  • Experience with developing and consuming APIs 
  • Recognizing the value of clean code practices 
  • Experience in mentoring, knowledge sharing and technical writing 

Nice to have qualifications:  

  • Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, Canary or similar  
  • Experience in technologies such as Groovy, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes or others 
  • Contribution to open-source projects 
  • Ready to adopt, implement or propose new technologies 
  • Experience in writing blog posts, hosting podcasts, facilitating workshops and seminars 
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
