Role: OpenText xPression Architect
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Duration: Fulltime
BGV will be done for the selected candidates.
Job Description
· Work with the architecture team to define the architecture / standards for xPression
· Work with client architects, development team and business analysis to understand requirements
· Responsible for high level and low level design of how xPression would fit into the IT landscape
· Ability to integrate xPression with different upstream systems
· Will work hands on different xPression components like xDesign, xBatch, xDashboard, xServer, xPresso, etc
· Will need to assist infrastructure team around system configurations if required
· Will work on complicated documents on xDesign and if required on xPresso
· Will work with different upstream teams to define the XML schemas
· Design services using xFramework
· Lead all xPression development and maintenance activities
· Guide the team on xPression standards and review the deliverables
Skills required
· Have hands on experience architecting solutions using OpenText xPression
· Well versed with different xPression components – xDesign, xBatch, xDashboard, xServer, xPresso for word
· Hands on experience on version 4.2, 4,5 and 4.6 (preferred)
· Knowledge of xQuery module and xFramework APIs
· Hands on experience designing and developing complex documents like policy packets, consolidated statements, complex tables, etc
· Knowledge of different print formats like AFP, Postscript and eDelivery formats like PDF, PDF/A, PDF/VT, etc
· Knowledge of XML standards
· Java / J2ee
· RDBMS – Oracle, MySQL, SQL server
· Ability to design solutions and lead the team
· Good communication skills – written / spoken
