Job Description
As a Senior Presales Consultant Microsoft Licensing, you translate the complex mechanisms of Microsoft licensing constructs into clear, compliant and commercially attractive proposals for our customers and prospects. You combine in-depth expertise in Microsoft licensing programs with a strong consultative approach, enabling customers to make the right licensing choices and to continuously optimize their licenses over time.
You support our account managers and solution teams with expert licensing advice, ensuring that licenses and services together form a cohesive, value-driven solution for the customer.
As a Senior Presales Consultant Microsoft Licensing, you will:
- Advise customers on license optimization, cost control, compliance, consolidation and future‑proof licensing strategies.
- Translate customer requirements into the most suitable Microsoft licensing model and contract structure (EA, SCE, MPSA, NCE, CSP, MCA‑E, …).
- Prepare accurate, detailed and compliant quotes and proposals.
- Proactively manage the customer’s license portfolio, with a focus on renewals, upselling, optimizations and license‑related services.
- Work closely with the solution teams that deliver services on top of the licenses, and ensure alignment between licensing, services and customer outcomes.
- Support the sales team in positioning licensing as a strategic enabler for cloud, workplace, security and other service-oriented solutions.
- Actively build and maintain a strong relationship with Microsoft.
- Provide feedback on market developments, licensing changes, risks and opportunities to the relevant internal teams.
- Continuously maintain and update your knowledge of licensing in a rapidly changing Microsoft ecosystem.
- Guide our operations team to ensure that contracts are correctly registered with Microsoft and in our backend systems.
- Support our service team with your expertise when handling more complex customer requests regarding their Microsoft agreements.
Qualifications
- You enjoy working in a team but are also capable of working independently. You collaborate with the sales department, service teams, the back-office, solutions teams, the partner manager, Microsoft, distributors and customers.
- You have a strong commercial, analytical and solution‑oriented mindset, and can translate business needs into accurate and compliant licensing advice.
- You have proven experience with Microsoft licensing programs such as EA, SCE, MPSA, NCE and/or CSP.
- You understand the interplay between licenses and services, and how both together deliver value to the customer
- You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
- You are able to work well under pressure and handle deadlines and complex sales or renewal cycles effectively.
- You have strong skills in presenting, advising and engaging with stakeholders.
- You take ownership of customer questions, opportunities and follow‑up
- You are a problem solver and enjoy helping our customers with their post-sales inquiries.
- You are constructive, proactive and pragmatic
