Job Description
We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join a team responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of database platforms that support critical business services.
We are seeking a professional with experience in database management, focused on ensuring the availability, integrity, security, and performance of database environments, while contributing to the continuous improvement of services and the adoption of operational and security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize database platforms that support critical business services.
- Ensure the availability, integrity, security, and performance of database environments.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and business continuity policies.
- Perform proactive monitoring of database systems and platforms.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve incidents and performance issues.
- Manage upgrades, updates, and patching activities.
- Automate operational database administration processes.
- Develop automation solutions using scripting tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Monitor performance indicators and implement continuous improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Systems teams to design and implement robust solutions.
- Ensure the adoption of best practices for database operations, administration, and security.
- Contribute to the definition of architectures and technology evolution strategies for database platforms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in database administration and maintenance within production environments.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies, particularly Redis.
- Experience administering and operating Kubernetes environments.
- Knowledge of messaging systems, particularly RabbitMQ.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of automation through scripting languages and tools.
- Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills.
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
