Job Description

As a Network Administrator with knowledge in Check Point firewalls, you will be an integral part of our central network team, responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and highly available operation of our network infrastructure. You will work autonomously, take full professional ownership, and actively drive solutions - particularly during service disruptions.

Main Tasks:

  • Planning, operation, and continuous development of redundant network landscapes (Office, Data Center, WLAN),
  • Operation of Check Point firewalls (ClusterXL; ideally Maestro) and routing/switching environments (Cisco, Juniper), including high-availability configurations,
  • Management and maintenance of the WLAN infrastructure (including FlexConnect),
  • Operation of SAN switches (Dell Connectrix) and VPN gateways (Site-to-Site),
  • Proactive troubleshooting at the second and third support levels, as well as participation in incident management,
  • Independent resolution of technical issues, with a strong focus on delivering definitive solutions,
  • Responsibility for the entire network lifecycle (from evaluation through to End-of-Life),
  • Structured documentation and regular reporting.

Qualifications

Must have requirements:

  • Successfully completed IT apprenticeship or university degree,
  • Several years of professional experience in network administration within enterprise or critical infrastructure (KRITIS) environments,
  • Excellent knowledge of routing & switching (Cisco, Juniper), WLAN, VPN, and firewalling,
  • Experience with Check Point firewalls (certification desirable) and an understanding of high-availability and security-critical networks,
  • Proficiency in the lifecycle management of network infrastructures,
  • Participation in an on-call rotation (approx. 1 week per month),
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Nice to have requirements:

  • Good command of spoken and written German,
  • Knowledge in Linux-oriented environments.

Additional Information

This position allows for remote work for candidates based in Poland.
