We are looking for a Settlement Claims Officer to join our team at Inetum. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely handling of interest claims resulting from late settlements across multiple financial products, including Forex, Money Market, Equities, Bonds, and Equity Derivatives.
You will play a key role in claim investigations, communication with counterparties, operational risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily integration, verification, and detection of claim cases resulting from late settlements.
- Register incoming and outgoing claims in the internal database and conduct initial legitimacy checks.
- Issue claim letters within expected timeframes and follow up proactively with counterparties regarding settlements.
- Collaborate continuously with Back Office teams and external counterparties to ensure timely resolution of claim cases.
- Update internal databases with accurate and timely claim information.
- Generate SWIFT payments and monitor cash breaks.
- Reflect interest claims accurately in the trading portfolio.
- Propose improvements to enhance process efficiency, security, and reduce operational risks.
- Contribute to the documentation of team procedures and operational guidelines.
Habilitações
- Professional Experience: 0–2 years in Accounting, Finance, or similar areas.
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite.
- English: Fluent (spoken and written)
