Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our product platform.

Main Tasks:

  • Design, implement, and maintain data solutions within the product platform.
  • Define and optimize data models for analytical, operational, and predictive use cases.
  • Participate in data architecture and technical infrastructure decisions.
  • Ensure quality, robustness, and maintainability through good CI/CD and automation practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Project Technology: Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, SQL, ETL.

Qualifications

Must have requirements:

  • Technical university degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
  • 4–5+ years of experience in data engineering focused on platforms rather than isolated projects.
  • Strong command of technical English (spoken and written).

Infrastructure & Platform:

  • Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, including time-series schema design.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and deployment of data-related services.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and release management.

Data Engineering & Architecture:

  • Experience with on-prem ETL tools such as Node-RED and Apache NiFi.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud ETL frameworks, especially Databricks.
  • Ability to design efficient data models at an architectural level.
  • Capability to perform data analysis, extract insights, and collaborate on business-oriented analytical structures.

IoT Environment:

  • Technical knowledge of Azure IoT Hub, including ingestion, device management, telemetry, and scalability.
  • Valuable experience with industrial protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, etc.

Nice to have requirements:

  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools (R, Python, Grafana).
  • Background in industrial digital platforms or smart factory environments.
  • Experience working with software product teams in agile environments (Scrum).

This position allows for remote work for candidates based in Poland.
