We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Automation Tester to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of our software applications. This role requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem solving skills. The Automation Tester Specialist will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.

Responsabilites:

• Test Automation:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable automated test tools/apps, using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Create, enhance, and debug test automation frameworks
  • Execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing
  • Analyse test results, identify and report defects, and collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution
• Test Strategy & Planning:
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand application requirements and technical specifications
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies for new features and applications
  • Identify test cases that are suitable for automation and prioritize them based on risk and business impact
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing and ensure rapid feedback on code changes
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage and maintain test environments
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication regarding testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholder’s subject (development, operations, security, architecture, infrastructure, network, storage) and capable of learning to constantly master new technologies.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing processes and overall software quality

Main Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on automation testing
• Proficiency in Java language, with focus on object-oriented programming
• Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as: o UI Testing: Selenium, Cypress, Playwrigh o API Testing: Postman, Rest-Assured
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies
• Hands-on experience with BDD tools, specifically Cucumber, to write and execute feature files
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (both written and verbal)
