Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in COBOL and related technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system analysis, design, and testing, and will contribute to the development and maintenance of mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2/SQL, JCL, and CICS COBOL Online (including screens and maps).
  • Handle sequential file processing and ensure efficient data management.
  • Perform system analysis and design for new and existing applications.
  • Conduct thorough program unit testing and system integration testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Utilize Visual COBOL and Eclipse development tools for coding and debugging.
  • (Optional) Work with Unix shell scripts to support integration and automation tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on programming experience in:
    • COBOL
    • DB2/SQL
    • JCL
    • CICS COBOL Online
    • Sequential file handling
  • Over 5 years of experience in system analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in Visual COBOL and Eclipse development environment.
  • Experience in program unit testing and system integration testing (5+ years).
  • Knowledge of Unix shell scripting is a plus.
