Job Description

MISSION

The Vendor Performance Specialist is an imperative role that manages the Indigo compliance program and evaluates vendor performance. This is a diverse role that entails data crunching, decision making and process development; responsibilities include supporting new projects, managing strong vendor & merchant relationships, and working closely with cross functional departments.

The Specialist will analyze & evaluate the data, performing root cause analysis, registering the findings, developing recommendations, and implementing and executing solutions. This is a highly critical position and offers wide exposure to the industry and business.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • Annual target for Net Compliance Recoveries, keeping reversals at 20% target rate (with year over year improvement)
  • Vendor registration completion through vendor portal within 3 business days
  • Annual improvement in Perfect Order Index by category
  • Maintain SLA for timely ticket resolution

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Functional

  • Continuous improvement and growth of Vendor Compliance Program – enhanced tracking, additional detections, insightful reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards to track and share overall vendor supply chain performance with vendor partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish professional business relationships with our vendor partners, working closely with them to achieve operational excellence and ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally to continuously eliminate inefficient processes and implement new ways to enhance business operations.
  • Review day-to-day operations metrics, identify areas of improvement, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Support the overall strategic programs around automation of the complete vendor lifecycle
  • Partner with cross-functional groups and external partners to activate and onboard new vendors, providing white glove onboarding service when needed.
  • Track and manage end-to-end vendor onboarding experience on the Indigo Vendor Hub.
  • Manage end-to-end projects; identify issues, gather information from various sources, analyze data, interpret patterns and trends, build models, and provide recommendations.
  • Provide teams with insightful, reliable and automated reporting tools.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis & reporting requests.
  • Be a champion of accurate data practices.
  • Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
  • Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
  • Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo’s customers
  • Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

Qualifications

Work Experience / Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with SAP, specific but not limited to order processing, master data, and operational reporting
  • Experience with EDI
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar software) is an asset
