Job Description
As part of the Enterprise Solutions team within IT, this individual will play a key role in applying their expert knowledge of SAP ERP, OMNI-Channel, and supply chain functional areas to produce high quality results. The individual is responsible for optimizing and supporting Order-To-Cash business processes with effective, technology solutions that are consistent with industry best practices.
KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS
- High quality project deliverables on time and adhering to specified business requirements
- Provide functional and configuration knowledge in designing solutions in various SAP Supply Chain modules (SD, LE, MM, MAP & related Master Data elements) in an IS-Retail environment, to meet business requirements
- Enhance OMNI channel and supply chain processes by analyzing, developing and integrating system solutions that affect retail trade planning, distribution, and inventory to maximize company profitability and minimize cost
- Design, develop, maintain, and support OMNI systems resolving defects, solving problems, and testing/validating functionality
- On time defect resolution, with effective testing/validation of functionality, meeting or exceeding project SLA or OLA durations
- Achievements based on goals set out by the manager of the team
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Functional
- Work closely with business owners to identify and document business requirements to meet the end user’s needs
- Understand configuration dependencies and integration points between functional modules of SAP and designs and troubleshoots in the area with this knowledge
- Provide alternative solutions based on best practices and SAP functionality
- Work with developers to develop comprehensive Business Requirements and Technical Requirements documents
- Development of functional specification documentation for the development of applications and configuration
- Perform SAP configuration and unit/functional testing, for required applications
- Act as functional lead on projects
- Provide production support as needed, with problem resolution and escalation where necessary (on-call support is required)
- Provide leadership in the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing
- Project rollout planning for production releases
- Scope and size new initiatives, and assist with developing functional and technological project roadmaps
- Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
- Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
- Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo’s customers
- Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality testing services and products
- Design, develop, implement and execute test plans, test cases and test procedures using manual and automated processes
- Report and evaluate defects and issues using a defect tracking system.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
- All Other IT Departments; Online, Retail, Inventory Management, Category Management, Warehouse and Master Data teams on the business side
External:
- IT technology partners, vendors
Qualifications
Work Experience / Education / Certifications
- Computer Science, Engineering or related degree, with formal training in the areas of supply chain and ERP systems
- Minimum 7 years work experience with SAP ERP (R/3, ECC6) system and related technologies
- Experience with at least one complete SAP life cycle implementations
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Excellent analytical/problem solving and English oral/written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to multi-task and assess priorities while meeting the timelines.
- Desire to fulfill business requirements using as much standard functionality as possible.
- Self-driven and willingness to investigate.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in testing and production delivery
- Experienced in functional and technical specification development
- Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving SAP functional problems
- Experienced in troubleshooting integration problems when SAP is integrating with other IT systems
- Experience in working in a 24x7 support environment
- Excellent customer facing skills in terms of managing expectations and resolving issues
- Experience with Task Management and Time Management skills
- Solid judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to examine system support problems and correct or re-assign for resolution
- Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced culture
- Self motivated and has the ability to work independently
- Strong knowledge of Retail business processes (finance, retail, procurement, logistics, master data)
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
- Minimum of 7 years SAP Functional experience including at least 1 end to end implementation, representing SD module
- Hands-on configuration experience in areas of SD, MM, LE, WM/EWM (asset) and all related Master Data elements.
- Hands-on configuration experience in SD pricing procedures, Account Determination and Revenue Recognition.
- Hands-on design and support experience in IDocs (for EDI or special function purposes) containing common message types like orders, acknowledgements and ASNs.
- Hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting interfacing systems
- Knowledgeable in main table relationships and SQ01 queries to be able to respond to reporting requirements quickly.
- Experienced in Site Setup, Article Master and Inventory Management, Customer and Vendor account groups for Master Data, Partner functions, Purchasing & Procurement, Forecasting & Replenishment; Account determination for purchasing and inventory.
- Knowledge of integration with the following modules; WM/EWM, FI/CO, BW
- Must have good understanding of supply chain planning practices
- Experience with warehouse management systems (such as WM, or third party) and integration with ECC6 and MM
- Basic knowledge of ABAP/4 and debugging is an asset
- Experience with SAP IS-Retail is an asset
- Experience with SD - POS inbound interface is an asset.
