Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Functional
As part of the DC team, maximize productivity through teamwork, improve efficiency and contribute to KPI improvements
Ensure you work well independently.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy when completing tasks
Follow through on assigned tasks with efficiency and high quality
Effectively solve problems and escalate issues/concerns to the appropriate channels
Know and follow all pertinent DC operations policies and practices including health and safety, problem resolution, etc.
Attends and contributes in all mandatory meetings
Follows safety standards and corrects safety hazards, where possible, and always notifies management.
Identify opportunities to continuously improve DC operations and bring forward to the manager
Understand the inventory control process (and your role) from start to finish.
Other duties as assigned
Inventory Control Clerk
Create inventory count documents according to cycle count plan, recount process and shrink investigation requirements
Investigate and resolve issues reported in the IC Issue log
Execute and action exception reports related to Inventory Accuracy per assigned schedule
Action to inventory accuracy, availability or inspection requests from home office team members. Timely response and update back to home office.
Investigate and resolve articles with large shrink values. Post all necessary correcting entries. Update logs such as RFX and Case Pack as required for correction by other team members
Perform inventory counts such as High Value counts, article investigation accounts as well as cycle counts and recounts
Move damage inventory to damage storage areas
Monitor and update status logs such as Hold Log and Blocked Locations
Execute Same Day/Next day transfers between Retail and Online DC’s
Provides input to daily DC Support status update on status of work in all areas
Keeps work area clean and in an orderly manner
Qualifications
Qualifications
Work Experience / Education / Certifications
Talent for working in a fast paced team based environment
Prior warehouse/logistics environment an asset (1-2 years previous experience)
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
Strong computer skills. Previous experience using Excel a must
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and be able work well in a fast paced team environment.
Good communication skills that include written and oral
High energy and willingness to learn
Must be able lift up to 40 lbs repetitively
Resourceful in locating items and correcting discrepancies
Keen eye for detail/ Reacts immediately to resolve issues.
Good analytical skills
