Job Description

This position offers a flexible work-from-home eligible schedule after an in-person onboarding, with occasional team meetings and all-staff events. Candidates must reside in the state of Indiana or be willing to relocate by their first day of employment. The anticipated salary range for this role is $44,000-$46,000/year.

The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a Gift Fund Specialist to assist our Administration department with the gift-giving process and manage donor agreements. In this role you will operate as an expert in both Indiana University Foundation and Indiana University policies and procedures related to gift fund management, you will be responsible for drafting and finalizing gift agreements for philanthropic partnerships across the University.

You’ll be a key point of contact for constituent account holders, development officers, IU Foundation, and Indiana University staff. Your focus will be on providing information, education, and outreach to ensure that accounts are managed in alignment with donor intent. Your ability to work independently, exercise exceptional judgment, and manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight will be crucial.

With your creativity, critical thinking, and customer service expertise, you'll play a vital role in supporting our donors and helping make students’ dreams a reality.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical skills and interpretive reasoning ability.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with experience entering and interpreting data.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions for complex issues and requests.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels, both in writing and verbally.
  • Consistent attention to detail, with the ability to apply compliance guidelines across diverse requests.
  • Strong follow-through and thoroughness.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively, depending on the task.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with databases or CRM systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles is strongly preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience is required.
