Job Description
The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a highly organized, reliable, and professional Donor Relations Associate to join the Donor Relations and Stewardship team.
The Donor Relations team helps recognize donors for their contributions toward the University’s mission and goals. From coordinating gifts and events to recognizing membership to IU’s university-wide recognition societies, the Donor Relations Associate ensures that each IU donor understands our deep appreciation for their contributions to Indiana University.
This position requires strong project management and prioritization, a keen eye for detail, great communication skills (written and verbal), and adaptability to change priorities as needs arise.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in donor relations or development preferred
- Hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred
- Combinations of education and experience will be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Prompt and organized while managing multiple projects
- An excellent writer and editor with a strong attention to detail
- A clear communicator and attentive listener
- Discerning and adaptable as you interact with IUF constituents at all levels (University admin, donors, and faculty)
- Customer-service oriented: you’ll work in collaboration with and in service of other employees and donors
- Enthusiastic about a team environment and cross-training (being teachable and helping teach others is a must!)
- A creative problem-solver, excited to think about new ways to connect and show appreciation for donors
