Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Wireless Network Engineer to join our team in Moshi Urban, Tanzania. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our wireless network infrastructure, ensuring robust connectivity and superior performance for our customers.

  • Spearhead the planning, design, and implementation of wireless network solutions, including 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Lead a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship to enhance team performance
  • Develop and execute RF planning and optimization strategies to maximize network coverage and capacity
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols to safeguard wireless infrastructure
  • Conduct regular network performance analyses and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business objectives
  • Stay abreast of emerging wireless technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network designs, processes, and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in wireless network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Profound knowledge of wireless network technologies, including 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi
  • Expertise in RF planning, optimization, and network design
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP Wireless or CWNA are highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry and emerging wireless technologies
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel within Tanzania as required

Additional Information

  • This position is Hybrid
  • It could start as a 12-month contract but can be renewable or converted to permanent.
  • Strictly Tanzania Citizens.
