The Senior Solution Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing and supporting highly scalable business intelligence solutions that meet the needs of internal and external users. Install and maintain highly available business intelligence environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participates in design and development of business intelligence solutions
• Works with other architects, developers and data analysts to review requirements and data mart schemas for optimal performance of business intelligence solutions
• Participates in on-going evolution, improvement, and automation of business intelligence solutions
• Provides on-going support of data warehouses and marts – perform tuning, add new data and maintain hierarchies
• Instantiates new data warehouses and marts to support new customer requirements and subject areas
• Works with application developers and data analysts to maintain data warehouse and mart schemas for optimal performance and reuse
• Participates in testing of all data warehouse and mart changes
  

Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related degree. Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement
• 5+ years implementation of data warehousing and business intelligence platforms/solutions
• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering self-service and analytical capabilities via an ad-hoc interface and via dashboards/scorecards
• 3+ years of MicroStrategy experience a must 
• 5+ years implementation of data warehousing using MS SQL server
• 5+ years of experience with tuning, optimization and administration of business intelligence solutions
• Experience with MicroStrategy SDK and Mobile
• Experience with MicroStrategy customization through programming is a plus
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to act as a liaison between the business and all technical staff
• Ability to address all levels of personnel right up to the C suite
• Ability to break down something very technical and explain it in a non-technical way
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts including: data modeling, data quality, ETL, reporting, analytics, and visualization
• Experience with leading BI tools such as Oracle 11g, Informatica 9.5, Teradata 13, Erwin 9.5, and SQL Server.
