Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator/Specialist needed at a manufacturing plant in Mattoon, IL. Excellent benefits provided.

· You will be responsible for guiding safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the company.

· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, such as OSHA.

· Foster an incident and accident-free workplace through education, coaching, training.

· Analyze and take corrective action on accidents involving people or property.

· Create and monitor safety and accident prevention statistics.

· Assist with workers’ compensation reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree, in Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health and Safety. Two-year degrees may be considered with good experience.
• Military and other experience in workplace safety will be considered in lieu of a degree. Internships or co-op experience are great pluses.
• Must have excellent skills with MS Office tools for the purpose of writing reports, communication by email, analyzing statistics, developing PowerPoint presentations.
• Some knowledge about Behavior Based Safety programs.
• Must be willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment.
